Dept. of Ed has cut off funds to schools that spread their COVID relief funds out rather than spending them quickly. These schools had already budgeted & signed contracts for things like tutoring, construction projects, & mental health supports.

True. Sad, but True. The problem with a government not honoring it's own laws, rules, and past agreements, well there are many problems with that. Eroded trust may never come back. The outcome in this case is states will in future make sure money is spent, even if it is inefficient earlier.
Doesnβt she have a sex scandal to cover up?
Or maybe a crypt to keep?
Jeez.
Fucking rich people get off on treating others like shit.
In her case, itβs literal.
Ok, so fuck literally every single person in this administration, but this was temporary money that was supposed to be spent by June 30 2023, and the final *final* extension expired June 30 2024.
And those funds can still be spent, schools just have to explain how they use the funds
No offense, but you are choosing to defend those people with lies. You are wrong. The funding cannot still be spent. I do not know your deal, so I don't know if you are a troll or just an asshole, but you are wrong
It's on the reimbursement model, which is when a school or district or state buys something and then submits for reimbursement.
This is standard whenever a school or state or district isn't being responsible with the Fed's money, and as all of this should have been spent by last June, that checks.
It was the states' perogative to extend the deadlines. Some states did, and schools planned their SY around that extended deadline, but funds that have not yet been spent by last Friday can now no longer be reimbursed. Meaning schools now lose out on services they planned for the rest of the SY
These Trump Musk Vance people & all their partners in crime are hateful & evil- this is what evil and cruelty look like! This is fascism ! We need 3.5% of hs all peacefully in the streets! - numbers large enough to give us enough power to change our leadership- to take our power back peacefully.

Everything is terrible, so pick one of the actual shit things they've done, not something that actually makes sense.
