i dont know if games will ever be able to really reproduce the vibe of being in nature because it just seems impossible (and not necessary for the effort it would take) to reproduce the sheer complexity you see when you crouch down in the woods or even by a hedge in a driveway. - ThreadSky

like a forest in a game can't be filled with trees the way a real forest is. Trees in real life are like cities to some organisms and planets to others. I CHASE the feeling of nature in VR a lot, but it can't be the same.

i think you could make that the whole point of an entire game that takes place in like a 30x30 foot patch of woodland and it would still end up disappointing. real life just feels near infinitely complex the closer and closer you look. you cant Make that by hand.
