hmm.. to me it's not about the likes it's about like.. the human connection.. i have the smallest audience on tumblr, but the tags that people leave are SO incredibly kind, it feels like home.

twitter was the platform i had the most "growth" on, but i couldnt have done it without animation school friends and industry connections.. animation people are so nice. i am going to miss the biggest audience i built up over the course of 10 years though, but, starting small is okay too.

Yes! I've seen many post that the best way to use bluesky is to engage and interact w others - which is how tumblr works, so I'm just commenting on everything I see that makes me want to comment :) It's all very fresh and fun. (yep, fandoms and antis - Twitter is a hell site w that).

I agree! I hope bsky turns into a bigger platform for artists to feel more comfortable making the switch since I feel like that's what's been the biggest hangup people have been having... Oh, and private accounts!

def think the amount of control you have over what you see on your feed is influencing this. twitter doesn't even show me the posts of accounts i follow properly that i would love to engage with - instead it shoves a bunch of other stuff that i don't care or know about into my face due to the algo

Yeah thats what it feels like here LOL which makes sense cause im also still active on Tumblr but twitter I really only posted when i needed to update or post art
