I’ve been a sports fan for a long time (wrote a book, really two, about it), but today is just such a clear disconnect and/or distance between The News and how it makes me feel, and what paying attention to MLS (me, paying attention to MLS, of all things!) is making me feel.

Yeah. Yesterday I went to the PWHL game in Seattle and luxuriated in a phenomenal atmosphere of support for women in sports, the joy of girls & young women with big dreams, & the best hockey I've seen in person, played by women. I want to live daily in THAT world, not the one we have.
