Philadelphia Eagles: Most likely to inspire jealousy in other teams Bill Barnwell's offseason superlatives for all 16 NFC teams 👀 ⬇️

@joshgondelman.bsky.social You and Fiona Apple have been one-upped.

I would pay a large sum of money out of my own pocket to watch the non-NFL flag football team vs. the NFL flag football team in a qualifier to see who represents the US

Hi new followers! If you stick around, you'll hear about how much I love the Mesh passing concept (two crossers, an over route above them, usually a wheel or rail route from a running back). It's the best play in football. Here are the three worst reps I saw of it from NFL teams in 2024.

"One time, this guy handed me a picture of him, he said, 'Here's a picture of me when I was younger.' Every picture is of you when you were younger. 'Here's a picture of me when I was older.' Let me see that camera!"

Had a great time with @billbarnwell.com drafting the best moves of the offseason on his show! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

Brotherly Shove is a our-producers-wouldn't-let-us-say-tush-on-TV psyop, be on the right side of history Ben

We shouldn't ban the Tush Push, but we should ban people calling it the Brotherly Shove.

Back for one final Around the Horn today! Myself, Marcel Louis-Jacques, Emily Kaplan, and the return of Bomani Jones! 5 PM on ESPN!

Put another way: Brock Purdy signed for $2 million less per year than Trevor Lawrence in a cap environment that is ~$24 million higher

49ers getting Purdy anywhere below $60 million AAV is a good job by them.

Pistons owe it to themselves to call the Mavs and see if they can get the first overall pick for Ben Wallace.

Don't worry about pre-ordering JUST yet, but ... my book has an official cover and release date. (And the final draft is due Monday, which means no finalized House or CFP expansion info in there, which I'm TOTALLY not stressed about. Ha ha, not at all.) www.amazon.com/Forward-Prog...

live action Balatro is crazy

Pretty clever of Barcelona to sub on Lewandowski knowing they were going to blow that lead and need him for extra time

Crowd sourcing: do you have a language (Spanish/French) learning app you like that isn't Duolingo?

🚨Prospect X reveal 🚨 He won an award for football, and he’s got a story to tell… And now he’s a Las Vegas Raider! www.espn.com/nfl/draft202...

The two most notable ones have been David Montgomery (acquired for Hand) and Dominick Puni (for Ringo). The Pats had the Montgomery pick and traded it in a deal that landed them Damien Harris. The Gabe Wright pick (15 career games) turned into Daryl Worley, who has been in the league for nine years.

When teams have traded a future 3 for a fourth-round pick since 2011, they've landed: Frank Alexander Shamarko Thomas Gabe Wright Da'shawn Hand Kelee Ringo Anthony Bradford Jaylen Wright Giovanni Manu Jury's still out on some of those guys, but those trades have been a mess.

Turned out OK

Howie has a chance for the ultimate heat check pick

Here's where the Falcons have ranked in sack rate each year since 2018: 2018 26 2019 28 2020 26 2021 32 2022 32 2023 19 2024 31 Don't think paying ~$1.62 on the dollar by the Jimmy Johnson chart to get a second edge rusher in Round 1 is good business. But they may have been driven insane.

Wrote in the all-trade mock that the days of teams trading a 2 and a future 1 for a 1 in the bottom half of the first round were over because they were smarter now. Oops!

Hunter is a special prospect and if he's really a WR/CB, there's a path to QB-level surplus value, which can justify 2 1s. The Browns need a QB in 2026-29 more than they need Hunter in 2025-28 and they can still hit LOS at 5. That 1st in 2026 could be juicy if the 2025 Jags look like the 2024 Jags.

Seeing every take from "What an obviously stupid trade for the Jags" to "What an obviously stupid trade for the Browns" makes me think this one is pretty reasonable for both sides
