That’s the problem. I work in AI/machine learning, from a research point of view. But genAI, like ChatGPT, are built to replace human thought. And I don’t think that’s possible or good for the human race.
That’s good, as it can show them what’s not true.

I can understand your reservations and governments and industry must set parameters but at the moment doesn’t it free us all up from the drudgery of routine tasks and allow us all the be more creative and imaginative? #EduSkyAu
I think in relation to technology in learning we have not been ambitious enough. We have tried to match technology into the ways we have traditionally taught rather than looked at the potential and wondered about how we could fundamentally change our way of learning and teaching #EduSkyAU
Just from me.. because for every minute spent on those repetative and reporting tasks I had to use up buckets of bandwidth. The little that they left me with was for imagining what I could actually do for my students. #EduSkyAU

So true. I advise students to upload the problem into their brain and let it marinate for a while. Give the neurons time to build pathways - the writing comes easier then. #EduSkyAU
