Happy #IWD2025 to all of the fabulous women in my life.

My kid makes me laugh - today’s conversation.

Thank you @leghamlemming.bsky.social for a great chat this evening! #EduSkyAU

This little guy wishes you goodnight. He has taken himself off to his crate. #eduskyAU

A6: With primary, I love doing scavenger hunts, either tech or non-tech based. Also love a quiz - kahoot style. There are so many to choose from, depends on the learning area. #eduskyAU

A5: I created a wicked ‘escape to lunch’ escape room that incorporated tech-based, movement based (around the school) and coding to complete the challenge - the kids loved it and didn’t want to go to lunch in the end. The final code from the tasks opened the code box to reveal the prizes. #eduskyau

A4: There’s usually a few facilitators that use and spruik apps, games and the like. I often see the ‘bandwagon’ approach, but it falls off with some as the lack of skills/knowledge kicks in. #eduskyau

A3: not knowing which one to implement, so lack of knowledge, not knowing how the ‘game’ works and how to control (teachers lacking confidence that students are working/learning) and how to account for the learning in terms of program/assessment compliance. #eduskyAU

A2: Hmm, a tough one. I was chatting with a Yr5 student about their love of Prodigy. I asked that question - what can they actually remember about the learning - they couldn’t. They were all about competing and beating others in duals and levelling up. Deep learning didn’t factor for him. #eduskyAU

A1: adding elements of ‘fun’ competition, points, mastery levelling up etc to engage learning and receive instant feedback/gratification. Some students love it, others not so much. #eduskyAU

Hi #eduskyAU Anna here from south coast NSW. Happy to join as no netball this evening. May be multitasking, planning lessons for tomorrow, watching spring training baseball games and this.

#eduskyAU apologies for missing tonight. Fierce netball final - tied at full time, tied at extra time, tied at extra extra time. Lost after that.

Why is it that my foot decides to swell and hurt like blazes right when I head back to work. I don’t have time for this.

#babyrugdog is 3!

This is the face of the last day being 2! #babyrugdog

My apologies, I must finish off some planning before tomorrow. Thanks for a great chat #eduskyAU

A4: Honestly, I am not sure yet. It’s not going away, but until there is some form of integrity regulation, I have concerns about it in learning beyond guided use. #eduskyAU

I love that this platform is as slow and lovely as the old bird. #eduskyAU

A3: My biggest concern is ethic and integrity. Period. I guess this is where a solid digital literacy /citizenship program comes into play #eduskyAU

A2: Yes, there is much use for AI, from basic planning and modifying, to utilising it as a tool for learning and teaching. But I think there is also fear and wonder about it’s capabilities and how that plays out legally, strategically and ethically #eduskyAU

A1: To be honest, it is still quite new, so we have the gamut of perspectives. I used it with primary languages last year as a starter and they loved it! I see so much potential with it when used well. #eduskyAU
