A1: We play games all the time. Whether board, video or sporting. It’s a big part of who we are as a family. #eduskyAU

Oh absolutely not, no sages on the stage. PAR is so much more than that. It is collaborative and offers opportunities for all to make changes through a cycle of plan, design, reflect, change etc. #eduskyAU

It is all to do with agency. Agency drives design decisions. #eduskyAU

I too think it has a lot to do with creating agentic learners, both students and teachers. If you don't know how to use agency, how can you teach it/apply it. This can be taught/learned. #eduskyau

Absolutely. It might be the only thing that they feel they can control, because everything else is mandated. #eduskyau

That's so cool. And so powerful for students (and teachers). #eduskyAU

Absolutely. It is also about future proofing - showing the next group of students that they have the opportunity to do the same. #eduskyAU

The idea that it is a shared negotiation is so important. Even young students can say what works for them as learners. #eduskyAU

I would be so keen to see the results. That was a focus of my thesis, but with Year 6. #eduskyAU

This is true. When we think about it, we are all nested in constraints - whether leadership, council, government. It is ever changing. #eduSkyau

This is true. I even have teachers at my school who have home rooms, but these are also used throughout the day for other purposes - clubs, meetings etc. It is a constant negotiation of spaces. #eduskyAU

Oh same. I was lucky enough to work in a new build school, so had a say in one of the buildings. I miss that building a lot - it was perfect. #eduskyAU

I had a makeshift STEM room last term. I think my desks moved 4-6 times a day depending on the task and the students. I love the flexibility of doing that. #eduskyAU

Would love to hear your thoughts about classrooms spaces, especially in your area of education. #eduskyau

Ah yes, when pedagogy and architecture are misaligned. I found the whole idea of post industrial education fascinating - the idea of this misalignment crops up a lot! #eduskyau

So true. Look at all of the Kevin 07 halls that were built - poor quality, zero acoustics, all on a small small budget, so not the best for the purpose. #eduskyau

Yes, this is huge. Primary often have a better option in that respect, although a lot of primary spaces are multi purpose too. #eduskyAU

Bravo. I love looking at the architecture of buildings! #eduskyAU

Sure is. I want to know the how and what about the buildings and spaces within. Who designed them? #eduskyau

I despise the 'Insta' classrooms, the K-mart classrooms etc. They are unfortunately here to stay due to SM influence. However, they are not grounded in quality research and are simply faddish and wasteful. #eduskyAU

It is a big one of Henri Lefebvre's Spatial Triad - perceived, lived and conceived spaces. #eduskyau

Yes, I am keen to know more. #eduskyau

So true. There are spaces and configurations that just don't work no matter what, and others that just gel. #eduskyAU

For sure. Also, the whole idea that each space has lived experiences that inhabitants bring with them. #eduskuAU

I love the possibilities that classroom spaces bring. The 'what if' moments when you walk into a space and start wondering. #EduSkyAU
