This is infuriating! Everyone who drives here has done this:

"Tlaib reported she was told that since January, 213 people have been detained at the bridge, including families with children. At least 90% of the detentions were people who made a wrong turn and drove onto the bridge by accident."

Michigan's road signs assume you know where you're going. For instance, here in Ann Arbor, exit signs for Washtenaw Avenue off US-23 don't say "Washtenaw Avenue." They read "Ann Arbor" and "Ypsilanti."

Michigan is one of those "you should've known!" states on a good day.

These are not good days.

Michigan Avenue has 2 exits off 94 and they're only ~20 minutes apart, etc.

But yes. Born and raised SE MI and I've taken that damn wrong turn. To my credit bad construction signage made it even worse but it's SO easy. And what happened to those folks, fellow Michiganders, so horrible.

If you are trying to get to the usCustoms global entry office at the base of the Ambassador Bridge, google will send you (at least it tried to send ME) through canada to get there. So you could get detained just trying to get to the office

for those unaware: you have to TAKE THE EXIT TO CANADA and then cross under the other direction's ramp.

there's a gate there.
