I spent hours running them under room temperature water and finally thawed them enough to yank the bags out of the inside and dress and cook them.

They turned out great.

But all of this is to say, IF YOU ARE COOKING A TURKEY TOMORROW START DEFROSTING IT RIGHT NOW! 3/x

It takes several days to defrost a turkey in the fridge, which is the safe way to do it.

I had an oven with a messed up temperature gauge. The glass on the meat thermometer was leaning up against the side and melted so I had no idea what the temperature was. I cooked it for hours and hours. Only the breast was cooked. Everything else was pink. I served the breast & threw away the rest.

I’ve had to do exactly this, twice! First time I got it out the day before. Thought I learned my lesson. The second time it was a smaller turkey and I got it out 2 days before, but it was still frozen!
