I wasn’t vibing with the whole clan politics and war, which is funny because I love fantasy that involves war and war strategy. I think it was back in 2022 and I was just too fantasy-ied out to really care. Read it slower the second time around and got to really enjoy it!

I'm considering this one but have been hesitant because I'm concerned it's violent ("tragedy" is in the description I read). Would you say it's heavy on violence or more standard fantasy?

Some of my favs are VE Schwab books (Vicious, ADSOM, Addie Larue), Alix Harrow (10k Doors of January), loved The Humans by Matt Haig, Circle, etc. If you know of anything like those!
