The worst part about this is there's no recourse. Amazon's not *asking* authors. Just feeding all our books into the maw of their plagiarism machine, without our consent.

FWIW I’ve been looking into moving all my indie books to https://itch.io instead. It’s mainly a games platform but books are definitely accepted and their terms look pretty good

FWIW (maybe not much, I am one person of so many), I ignore literally everything Amazon pushes to me and pay attention only to what I’m actually looking for. But this thread taught me about itch! I love my Kindle e-reader and wish desperately for other vendors to buy that book format from.
