Apparently that project is, unfortunately, likely scrapped but there are talks that Coyote Vs Acme is going to get released by Ketchup Entertainment. Who are the same distributors that did The Day The Earth Blew Up.

I’m a bit confused on why TDTEBU would inspire them to release Coyote v. Acme, even tho TDTEBU underperformed against its budget. Can someone who understands finance possibly explain what could be informing their decision?

TDTEBU is doing amazing for what it was given. The movie was only going to be in theatres for about 5 days, and now it's extended by a week. This is going off a weak marketing budget. Despite not doing gangbusters, it shows theres interest in Looney Tunes in theatres.

No, typically, it's not good. You need to make double before you're a success. But this is a specific case is different. Its a movie with tiny marketing budget getting a extended window in theatre. Atleast that's how its been explained to me.
