Can't sleep with only a blanket either. It's not even the weight I want. I want the softness of the bulkiness, if that makes sense. I can wrap my legs and/or arms around it and it will feel soft and bulky. With just a blanket my knees or elbows are running against each other.
guess i'm the weirdo then, i dislike heavy blankets and struggle to sleep if i feel weighed down. i'll use them if it's really cold, but otherwise i prefer something very lightweight.
My cat likes to jump around and hunt imaginary mice while I'm trying to sleep. Normal blankets are like paper to her claws. My weighted blanked works like comfy chainmail armor. 10/10.
I can sleep without a blanket if it’s warm enough, but that’s hard.
Used to at least two thin blankets because one wasn’t enough to stop my cat when she did this.
During the winter I switch to a heavy thick blanket. It’s so warm and cozy when it’s heated up
I can sleep without a blanket, BUT I ABSOLUTELY can't sleep without my stuffed animals. I always need to hug something tight. It helps with anxiety and even panic attacks, because you feel embraced.
I'm 68 and I still sleep with a cotton blanket that I've had for years. And if it wears out I go in search of a similar blanket. I've even taken it with me overseas and across the country. No shame in feeling secure.
Aw, I find that relatable. I used to have stuffed penguin and walrus when I was 14 to 16. When I lost them, I couldn't sleep at all for some time. Still miss them. Penguin's name was Naifu (ナイフ) (knife in Japanese). Walrus didn't really have a name, he was just called "man" or "dude".
I'm such a weird ND person because I like light blankets and the only weighted blanket I've been able to handle is the light weighted blanket my massage therapist brought in for me for our last session. I think for me, the heaviness makes me feel trapped. But I haven't met anyone else like that. 😅
I used to prefer heavier blankets. But now I find that painful. So now I use a single sheet and light blanket that are not tucked in. And I turn up the heat in the winter time.
This is so relatable, I love the feeling of the weight on me to bring me comfort and sense that I'm being swaddled/cradled. It's why I've grown to really love quilts as my primary covering when sleeping.
My heavy blanket isn't heavy enough, so I fold it until it is and sandwich it between other blankets (quilts during winter). My desire for pressure is from the 'tism, though. I'll throw the quilt off if it gets to hot: I battle between heat and pressure, if that makes sense.🤷♀️

Also fr, no heavy blanket? I am throwing clothes on top then >=|
Should try a smaller one in the future. In the meantime, I'm pretty comfy with my Belldandy body pillow and my kitty sleep mask 💖
Also sleepy Blahaj :3
I sleep so much better with a blanket, especially a thick one, but I also run very hot so if it's too warm I will wake up covered in sweat 😩
I need the warm and the weight

I miss her. It’s been two months since she passed away. She was loved.
Sharky easter egg :)
Also is that Blahaj I see?
Can recommend 10000%
Just don't do what I did and sit with it on your legs for 2+ hours, your legs will want to die!
The consequence is that I now sleep with two blankets at winter.
So comfy that I struggle to get out of bed.
