One of the universities most committed publicly to DEI is closing its DEI office. Not mentioned in the article, it is also closing its office of health equity and inclusion. Another disappointment. Statement from the university in the first comment.

To be clear, I’m not talking about the actual people working in the DEI office—my guess is they were highly dedicated and great at their jobs—it’s just disappointing how easily the university leadership tossed them and their work aside.
Agree. It has been suggested to administrators and various faculty bodies at multiple schools (including mine) but so far very few have stepped up. Michael Roth at Wesleyan has been a shining star. And Yale faculty and admin seem to be on the same page (at least from an outsiders perspective).
