I will continue with my chess club and the annual tournament despite the truly horrific logistics. Organising 64 kids into matches is foul. But they love it so I do it.

There are kids in my club who give adults such a shoeing. Painful and demoralising to be so soundly thrashed by a child. I get them training other students to become chess wizards and witches.

I haven’t done RfP as an ECA but I’ve done a lot of things within class and lots of ideas from others on the course.

I have done podcasts before in my own time.

There’s so many different pedagogies. I like the idea of reading rivers. Or even ‘free reading Friday’ type activity where everyone brings something to read, share and discuss. You could make a reading scrapbook for the club. You could ask other teachers to come in and be interviewed about reading

I won’t be leading the reading club, unfortunately!

I will defo share those ideas - I like the idea of ‘free reading’ 👌🏾
