It had some bad parts but overall it was well worth watching, and there were some great scenes in there.
It's just sad that the ghost of Qui Gonn saw everyone else get stabbed by a lightsaber and shrug it off. Apparently a brisk walk is enough to get over it completely.

The pacing of the show could have been better and it would have worked better as a movie, but the ending was worth it. It was the closure Obi-Wan needed and it was a chance for 2 buddies to work together on something they clearly loved doing again.

The whole thing just felt like a mess, even the Kenobi/Vader scenes took me out of it bc it felt like it broke the "later" scenes in A New Hope when they meet again, that dialogue doesn't make as much sense now. The Third Sister was one of the worst parts of the whole thing.

For me it made his "redemption" much less believable or acceptable because they made him even more psychotic. (Dragging innocent down the alley and breaking his neck). As if slaughtering younglings in Ep. III wasn't a bridge too far already.

Obi-Wan doesn't have to be infallible. In fact the whole point of the prequels is that the Jedi very much aren't. And he would make for a much more compelling character not being able to own up to his perceived failure with Anakin. Just like the Jedi as a whole.

Kids media can tackle heavy subjects. Lucas even says it’s for children. Social media just exaggerates “it’s for children” to mean it has to be dumbed down when it doesn’t have to be. A kid could watch X-Men for the simple good vs. evil stuff while the bigotry subtext can be absorbed later.

I’m saying it’s a mixed bag. You can definitely criticize the simplicity of letting a war criminal be redeemed. Personally, I like how Star Wars Explained put it: Redemption is not something other people give you, it’s something you do for yourself.

It makes more sense if you realize he's not actually a bad guy. He's a guy who is so force-sensitive that the dark side was able to corrupt him beyond all recognition.

So there's no need to find a reasonable explanation for how he turned so bad so fast, or how he could possibly be redeemed.

Yeah, the show was a fail for me, but Vader was a boss, the Obi-Vader duels made sense, and as you said, that use of Vaders helmet malfunctions to show the coming and going of Anakin under Vader was pure art.

I felt the show had Revenge of the Sith level MOMENTS, but a lot of filler moments that just weren't executed as well as they could have been. Little Leia, side characters etc. The idea was there, but the execution hurt it.

Overall it was pretty entertaining. Definitely parts/characters that weren't written well at all. But just focusing on Obi-wan and Vader themselves, the storyline was fun. Third sister was lame, young Leia (great young actress) were unnecessary. But I very much enjoyed it.
