He eventually made it Too Obvious and, as he isn't very smart or funny, hasn't held much ground in an overcrowded world of scammy youtube wretches. I distinctly remember plenty of people falling for his act early on, though, and defending him fiercely when anyone criticized the anti-vaxx stuff.
