I remember my father telling me, that when he was growing up in the 60s not to use that word. Sure that's anecdotal but there were people even back then that knew you didn't use it in conversation.

I guess I'm too woke because I find the proliferation of this really off-putting and gross. The fact that it's now reached the "enlightened centrists" class is depressing.
