i understand wanting notelock to make streams harder to pass but i think thats the wrong way to approach it

they should have reworked the hp system in a way that makes streams still feel decently dangerous (and sliderends too) instead of trying to mimic stable hp minus the punishing slider ends

one of the situations they wanted gone was the player missing on a slider stream and losing all of their hp in an instant

it's funny bc i think they went to far with that change and now ALL slider ends feel like nothing lol

Stable notelock is just stupid and unfair + it hinders progression
But some people like to make things harder for themselves I guess, which is fair enough but not a valid argument to say "lazer bad"

notelock is definitely the single worst thing about osu as a whole and its not even close but people are stockholm syndromed into liking it, possibly because they don't like lazer and hate on it for the one thing it undeniably does right
