Not sure what you mean, but the plans referred to in the press release include “a 250-seat performance theatre, bookshop, library, café, offices, recording facilities, rehearsal spaces, study rooms and more”. Are you concerned that the “and more” would include general renovation work?

It's been widely publicised that a lot of churches are in dire need of (costly) restoration work. It seems an inappropriate venue for those facilities - whilst also operating as a church. So, yes I am concerned that unless deconsecrated that could be a misuse of funds.

I'm certainly not against community use - especially the things you listed are good things, just an inappropriate venue.
