Messing up is all a part of the experience. Sometimes messing up leads to new recipes kind of like how potato chips were made and other times it can lead to your entire kitchen going up in flames. Keep trying and eventually you'll get to a point where not even hot oil hitting your skin shakes you.
It's all about getting used to being in the kitchen that way you can get all the experience you can from it. I love to cook and I've been doing it since I was five.
its totally a learning curve and messing up is apart of the experience but heck i hate messing up when other people can see me cook 😠i got massive anxiety with cooking with others!
this year ive done a lot better with learning how to cook, it really takes time but i got a few dishes in my belt!
If you're seeing progress in your skill even if small that's a massive plus. And yeah it's definitely harder to cook In front of and for other people and the anxiety is definitely real. It's best to get in your zone, find your flow, and try your hardest to find out the world.
Finding your kitchen comfort zone helps too. Figure out what type of cooking suits you whether it's baking, stovetop cooking, no bakes etc. and stick with it until you're satisfied with the progress then try moving on to the other type of cooking.
Don’t stress. It’s not instinct, it’s practice. Pick one dish that you really like and prepare it several times refining as you go. After just a few times you’ll have it perfected, then you move onto the next. And as you go, you master techniques that are useful in many dishes.
totally valid, it's defo a skill. that's why I like to watch multiple youtube videos to see how multiple chefs tackle something instead of just instructions
i usually have my partner cook the meal the first time while i take notes and i try to ask as many "stupid questions" as possible, it only gets better after im the one cooking it myself because i come up with new problems in the middle of cooking😠but i did pretty okay this time!
im really good at making egg breakfast tacos haha x3 my anxiety gets the best of me sometimes when im cooking but my partner does help me out, just gotta keep trying 💚
