It's extremely hard to meet the needs of an economy - particularly one changing as rapidly as Canada's is - through training alone. Folks have to commit to training courses two to four years (or more, for medicine) before entering the workforce. Immigration can be more prompt & responsive.

2022 was a really tough year with the pandemic still surging & the labour shortage, supply chain shortages... I think PMJT & the Liberal Party did an amazing job of getting us through it all. Too bad the provinces weren't engaged in monitoring fake colleges & shadey employers abusing the migrants.

One can argue about too much or too less immigration.
But the important thing here is as a leader he explained why they took a decision in 2022 and why they are reversing that decision now as we approach 2025.
He is owning up both decisions. And is not afraid of course correction.

This is an example of a leader having a down-to-earth, rational conversation about immigration. He doesn't demonize immigrants, label immigrants as criminals or rapists, or target any race or nationality. He just addresses the issue, gives context, and details a plan. Tres bon.

Unless there’s something else hidden behind the message, it seems pretty reasonable to me. Give priority to the people already in the country and not turning them into out of the system residents for that could cause exploitation and disruption of the economic system.

There's nothing hidden. The Liberal Party, throughout my living experiences anyway, responds accordingly to updates. What is hidden is my belief that the conservative premiers purposefully caused chaos with immigration, just like they purposefully caused our health care to collapse.

Trudeau has 21k followers on YouTube. Will likely pick up some more from the Blue Sky. It's likely preaching to the choir. IMO he should be airing on major sporting events and other venues that attract masses of people. Informing CDNs is a legit govt expense and should not fall to LPC fund raisers.
