This feels performative from Tribe (would hardly be the first time!). Play your way down the game tree. Do you really want all those career prosecutors replaced by Trump?!

Sad that one of the couple dozen career prosecutors (Edward Sullivan) finally signed Emil Bove’s corrupt motion to dismiss the indictment of NYC Mayor Eric Adams. He rationalized that he was saving the jobs of his younger DOJ colleagues. Nearing retirement, he should’ve forced Bove to fire them all.

I don't understand how people miss this part. With regards to our professional bureaucratic class, yielding the entire field to the enemy is a worse strategy than tactical retreats, bearing witness, and keeping the press apprised from the inside.
