Nurses and doctors: keen for your thoughts. A doctor (with whom I have an excellent working relationship) today made a joke in front of a patient about me, saying that I drink on the job. I think this is highly unprofessional. Yes, I am aware it was a joke. Am I being too sensitive?

That said. As you feel jokes like that are undermining your integrity you should bring it up with them. You would be right to.
“You don’t want me to drink at work?. Can I walk around with an IV in me?”😅
“So doctor, when was the last time you drank on the job? After all, 2ltrs of water a day is good for you too”🤪🤣
