My psychology professor literally brought up people contributing their alternative medicine to their cancer being cured as a way to teach us how how to find reliable research, if their is more than one thing going on you can't prove the oil instead of the medicine cured you

Always ask the question. Every story I’ve ever seen of someone curing their cancer using “alternative” therapies has a “also we did the normal stuff” subplot right beneath the surface.
