I grew up in Toronto the '70s - first in Forest Hill and later North York. My father was a prominent lawyer at one of the largest firms in the country, and he rode the TTC to work downtown NEARLY EVERY DAY.

I mean it’s hard to look at the Streetcar/Subway integration (ie st. Clair west) and station design of the era and not think the ppl running things had put some thought into it.

Sadder still: When First Gulf owned the East Harbour site, its CEO said the firm would build the transit hub for the public in exchange for rerouting the Gardiner and what we then called the Relief Line, and flood-proofing the Don River. Did CF buy those promises or did the city just forget?
