Ironic that this quote comes from David Frum, the man who wrote the "axis of evil" speech that was used to con this country into the illegal invasion of Iraq.
Ughhhh So what you’re telling me is that my maga family members are going to be mad at me for the rest of their lives?
Ok. I’m on the right side of history, so I’ll have to find peace, knowing that.
we need someone to explain the repubs who admit he turns their stomachs but they just can’t vote for a democrat that it would somehow be an insult to their parents, grandparents, their upbringing & they end this worthless explanation by saying ‘how bad can he be’
This is so true. People cannot face being wrong. If you show them proof of a con, they will double down on their argument that you are wrong otherwise they would need to reconcile with the idea that they were conned.
Lost a friend to an MLM/cult. My knowledge and education were no match for snappy salesmanship and the illusion of wealth. Also, bro couldn't Google the scam he was going into.
If the MAGA voters hurt only themselves, there would be no reason to try to intervene and change their attitudes. But they don't -- the rest of us are punished too by their decision and there are too many of them right now, voters who will remain loyal to the lies. We need to find a way to reach
them and persuade them that the conman deceived them and they were innocent (well maybe not-so-innocent but let's ignore that) victims of his lies and that they can change and do the right thing this time around. Put the blame on him and not their own failings.
Fine by me.
As I told the few people I knew who embraced Trump’s cult shit, “you are on your own from here on. Do not come to me for help rebuilding, when reality sets in.”
Disagree with this political spin. This is just typical GOP BS to always blame on the other side.
If someone is at all capable of feeling dumb in this situation, it's because they know deep down they made a dumb choice and they're mad about being suckered. It's their own pride that's the problem.
This is perfect for my husband's nephew who is diehard MAGA who had the gall to show up at a family Christmas Eve party wearing a convicted felon sweatshirt. I hope he gets everything that he deserves for blindly supporting a conman despite the warnings. I won't feel sorry for him one bit
Yes, I'm furious, disgusted, and frustrated. If this concept is true, and it sounds like it is, the words could go like this: It's not your fault. Con men throughout time are good at what they do. Many have believed; scammers are everywhere and have no conscience. Their only interest is themselves.
When family, coworkers and friends start spouting off how he's going to save us and make everything better than it was......
Oooh really? I say
and leave that hanging in the air because they know me and know I'm just laughing at what they're saying.

Why do humans do this? Who's studying this? We need answers.
I don't have time for excessive stupidity.

I meant every word. They are all dead to me.

Fuck em. Find better friends.
