I think it's part and parcel (lol) with the issue of the BTs actually being one of the weaker parts of the game for me. At first, when they were omnipotent, it seemed like they'd be infrequent terrors you're avoiding entirely, but that forest showed that you CAN'T. You're stuck with "BT zones"...
