/not end/ How? Protecting cultural resources and the Antiquities Act aren't buzzwords yet that will automatically turn off politicians. They may still be reachable in this area by constituents sharing opinions. Alt accounts on Bsky are also able to be followed. (AltNationalPark, etc)

History will be destroyed and environments ransacked for fuel resources. That's the end goal. They say they are doing it for the people, but public lands are YOUR lands. Not Musk's. And we, together, can fight to protect them. /end

This kind of work is what current admin has decided costs too much. NPS already had a hiring freeze for years, now they're firing people. I know 2 so far. This is going to gum up the system; fewer people to coordinate with companies like mine means less work done means less healthy Parks. 5/

We need the healthy ecosystem not only for other life but for continued healthy hunting, gathering, and fishing areas for Indigenous tribes, other U.S. citizens, and for tourists. It brings a lot of money to the U.S. + those rights are the tribes' by treaty. 4/

We have to do this work before maintenance projects in the National Park areas, and the maintenance is essential for these areas. Brush control and stream restoration prevents dangerous fires, disease (fewer ticks/mosquitoes), and promotes an overall healthy ecosystem. 3/

Cultural resources can be everything from a burial to a stone tool, from your grandfather's log cabin to an Indigenous rock shelter. If we find it, we either preserve it by altering the planned project, or we rescue it and return it to the tribe/family/an approved collection facility. 2/
