Bc we just don’t have the insider info to know if Zelensky may be overstepping his powers in order to hold on to the position.
Of course we want to believe that he’s this perfect heroic figure - and he is a hero.
But a patriotic opponent would be an imp gesture at this point. imo

Meaning - Zelensky should be open to an election with 1+ patriotic, vetted, reliable opponents - who have zero evidence of conflicts of interest with Putin/Russia.
Let him prove that he can win again, in a fair election.
Putin will try to influence it.
But most Ukrainians know better, by now.
