I only bought Nvidia cards because they introduced a chip specifically for video encoding. But the entire time I've had them, they would just make my computer crash periodically. Using that chip caused even more ctashes. No over heating BTW. Well today it just completely died mid stream. - ThreadSky

I even tried trying to buy a second, better card to fix the crashing, but it never stopped, just sometimes was not as bad. I'm so done with Nvidia as the chip I wanted for streaming I couldn't even really use. And the new cards seem like they are just more expensive for little reason. Fuck that.

I think intel cards are what nvidia promised but like actually real

problem is they're too weak and the drivers sucked shit until like 6 months ago, but they're super cheap and are actually incredible at encoding

I honestly haven't looked into them for a single second because I haven't been in the market to buy the most expensive computer part lmao but I'll keep that in mind

I have a 1660 Super that I bought for the same reason. I thought it was getting dodgy on me, too. Finally updated the firmware, and it's been right as rain ever since. I never did get much use out of the encoding chip, as I had too many other OBS problems and went ATEM for streaming. Flawless.
