In the past I've seen people upset at chatters using their own emotes in the chat (which is something I've been self conscious of because of this tbh,) and it just all comes off as insecure. Are people going to be upset at being raided soon? because they are advertising their stream to you?

Yes it's totally insecure. I would rather be in a stream where the streamer is treating others as equals, as other humans.

self promo is annoying when you can tell someone is going wink wink I'm going live soon chat. But this case was not that at all. It's very obvious to tell the difference. We don't have pretend like the current streamer is the only streamer on the planet.

As an admittedly small-time streamer, if I asked someone how their day was and they respond that they streamed/are gonna stream, I'd ask them about it. Of course it's different if you just show up to a stream and start promoting yourself, but after THE STREAMER asked how they were, just, what?
