I have learnt that you should embrace any hobby that gives you joy and allows you to interact with others.

It is better to enjoy a silly or childish hobby than deal with the side effects of not having any hobbies.

100% agree with this! I stopped telling people I liked trains as a child, because it wasn't "cool".

Then in my 20s I started volunteering on the railway, and suddenly my hobby is considered cool amoungst people my own age. Turns out it wasn't uncool, I just didn't have the right audience yet!
