one party said "let's fuck over trans people" and the other party said "let's not do anything for trans people" and now we've got libs saying "we gotta fuck over trans people next time" without noticing the incredibly obvious third option

I mean I can get into the way liberals want slow, incremental change and that trans people are just kinda "too much too fast" for them right now, let's do another thirty years of thinkpieces and Lifetime Original Movies and circle back on this one...
Delusion is by betraying vulnerable constituents they're focusing only on the Americans who really matter: the sainted working class. Who don't care either way about these minorities.
But th working class does notice when you betray vulnerable constituents. They wonder, will Democrats dump me next?
I'm trying to charitably accept the centrist premise that they're throwing minority constituents under the bus bec their biggest bloc of constituents matters more. Low-information Joe Lunchpail voters don't vote for cowards. They don't respect turncoats who run from a fight.
And his kid's friend has two mommies. For Gavin Newsom or Chuck Schumer to not know this stuff is criminal ignorance
But even if this theoretical working class guy has zero queer or POC friends, he definitely won't vote for a politician who runs away when that politician's base is being bullied
Moreover, besides most working class voters being minorities, virtually all of them have a basic sense of right and wrong. They know terrorizing someone for no reason except you think they're too weak to stop you is wrong. They know trans rights are human rights.
But wasn't this always the endpoint? It's been clear for a while now that dems by and large want to be as conservative as they can get away with, if the only standard is 'not as fascist as Republicans' then there's literally no bottom.

you know those people exist, there are polls
I don't know why "people who hate trans people but might prefer a choice between two anti-trans parties" is the more desirable demographic
(I do know why but I'm not sure you do)
but it's the same thing with more words

Centrist poll data is wrong.
