A U.S. greencard holder of Palestinian origin, active in Columbia's student encampment, was arrested by ICE yesterday from his home, separated from his 8-month pregnant wife, told his greencard would be revoked, and taken into custody.

He's been a citizen for years, so yes he did, but as a citizen. And at the same time: It's disingenuous to suggest that we don't know, as established fact, that Israelis are treated very, very differently from Palestinians in the US, and a green card-holding Israeli would not have been disappeared.

I'm sorry. I'm not trying to be disingenuous. You are correct of course about Palestinians and Israelis receiving different treatment. I merely am trying to say that trump himself is a big part of the problem here. I didn't mean to sound snarky or combative, I was trying to add to the conversation.
