Yeah. I agree that Trump is abominable but using "gaslighting" for every single time someone blatantly lies takes away its usefulness as a term for victims of domestic abuse.
And terrorists generally don't do gaslighting. Domestic abusers do.
Trump and his cronies are absolutely using terror tactics. They're doing their best to spread fear and misery on a massive scale. So I think calling them terrorists is more useful than saying they're gaslighting.
But just to make it clear, it's not a huge big deal to me, and I'm also not trying to be pedantic either. Just to make it clear I'm not jumping down anybody's throat. I think it's helpful to keep it distinct from other words for personal reasons.
Yes, WE did, but so many were so manipulated or ignorant to it all. It's sad it's taken what's been happening the last few days for people to realize they made a mistake! It's a little late for that! People need to DO BETTER!
For future generations: study DARVO. Implement steps to prevent leaders who weaponize empathy to lead your government, teach empathy in schools, teach what psychopathy is and require brain scans to ensure sufficient gray matter is present for any elected government officials.
