Me: We let in way too many low-paid workers and non-paying dependents, we need to reform the rules so that only those who genuinely contribute can stay here permanently.

Nurses are much better paid than social care workers and they are absolutely essential. (Ditto agricultural workers although that is seasonal)

Dumbest thing about all these media/pol types talking about low paid immigration is that their own contribution is so small that if they stopped doing it no one would even notice yet they get paid loads for it but if they had to do one of these low paid jobs they wouldn’t even last their first shift
