I would agree. Friends had one and it was one of the most shockingly intelligent dogs I ever met. It could count, you could never fool it in a shell game and slid down banisters!
Highly misrepresented just because it's a bully breed and was used extensively to breed the pitbulls. My parents used their two as babysitters for my brother and me in Kenya and they got two more when we got to NZ. I'd trust them more than I'd trust a chihuahua or foxy tbh.
I was impressed enough to think she was a genius but then realized she did that to chew a stick in a favored spot. I expected more.
Still a great girl though!
It goes back to red wolves survival and dewclaws, which were used for climbing trees and even a solution to help then pull themselves out of freezing rivers, if they got caught in an ice break.
Meanwhile my dog, who looks fairly similar to this one, fails to notice a full-grown deer 30 feet away in our backyard. Even after it runs away and jumps the fence.
I had a Lab who would escape the fence, roam the neighborhood, and be waiting for me by the back door when I got home. Only reason I know? My retired neighbors would leave me voice mails about how they saw her "across Broad St" and such.
My skinny rescue pup did this! Thank goodness she’s finally heavy enough her long toes can’t hook in sufficiently to make it over. Every time she leaps at it, I still hold my breath.
Dogs are smarter than people. I'm convinced. How did a tiny yorkie learn to climb up a pen and jump out? How did that tiny yorkie learn to unlatch the hook and walk out of the pen? I think people don't give dogs the credit they deserve. They will go to any length to get where they want to go.
When I was young, my best friend had a crazy Yorkie.. They shut him into a bedroom when they went shopping to contain his madness. One day they got home, he'd chewed his way through the wall and gotten out. Lucky he didn't run into any wiring!!! Can't remember his name, but can still see that hole!
Well, I have to tell you that was my assessment when I was in grade school when I knew my best friend Dawn and her Yorkie, 60 yrs ago. Didn't mean to offend. Dawn had a huge backyard w/a hill, the dog had a big space to run around in, as I remember. He always acted really skittish and unfriendly.

not that he didnt learn this without scratches and bruises.
I she free to run for office? She appears to know more about accomplishing something worthwhile than most of our sitting politicians.
😆❤️
When you find the perfect stick.
They are evolving faster that us.
Had a dog that lived across the street from me who used to put his paws in the chain link fence and climb it like a ladder, lol
Darndest thing I ever did see...😉
Yes...I know...😬
"Yeeaaahh!! I did it! AND I have a stick- I'm basically the coolest dog ever"
Much-needed smiles ^u^

I hope no one gives her any other ideas. No particle accelerators. No long carbon chains. Just kibble.
I've seen videos of lots of different animals doing this kind of thing!

The dog at my grandfather and grandmother house knew how to bite the door handle to turn it and open the door. 😂
Also she is so cute! 😍😍
And some people say that animals are stupid.
Well played.
My absolute heart.
