Nothing symbolized this threat to white dominance like the election of Barack Obama. Obama’s presidency dramatically heightened the white reactionary fear of demographic change, it supercharged the perception of a loss of political and cultural dominance.

Strictly for my own experience, Rod Dreher was the first person to publicly write/speak in a way that tore the mask off pretending to care about equal representation under the law. It’s been crystal clear for a decade or more.
