I hate the American healthcare system. WITH Un*ted Insurance, I’m in the hole $3400 last year for 1 ER + 2 normal healthcare visits.
Spent 6 hours in the ER yesterday for a serious medical event and now I need to stress about receiving a $5k+ bill in the mail.
I hate it here. What do we even do?

DM me if you want more help. I’m well versed in this sphere and would love to see if there is more I can do to help #GoPackGo
Yesterday, I had a seizure which obviously required a hospital visit. Did they expect me to sit at home afraid and take Tylenol?!
Im just so sick seeing it, I will definitely take your advice. United has been terrible.
Should I wait until yesterday’s bill comes in to tackle them both? Or start one at a time. I’m growing more concerned yesterday might be closer to $7-10k
I had a CT scan 4 ago that was almost all covered, and I remember seeing the bill at $16k.
I had a CT yesterday + multiple other tests. I’m sick. Canadians got it right.
Grateful for all the advice here, I’ll be using it when I receive my statement.
UW East; staff is always so nice and kind but they were so full we didn’t even get a room for 6 hours, just a chair in the hallway.
