What we need is a central authority to issue “written by a human” certificates for books, a bit like the organic label on foodstuffs, so consumers can identify & avoid the AI slop

Seeing this already: AI slop masquerading as language teaching materials. Particularly dangerous in the case of smaller and marginalised languages where resources are already thin on the ground and learners will seize on anything that looks legit.
