At least in SaaS I feel that pricing and packaging should best be defined jointly between Product & Commercial teams.
From my perspective, involving product makes sense, but I’m unaware of real-life examples.
Pricing dynamics can vary greatly between B2B and B2C, depending on the startup, SMB, or enterprise, as well as by region.
The same applies to involving product teams in pricing decisions.
