Ahhh, I absolutely love this comic from @workchronicles.bsky.social! Forget actionable insights - just build whatever seems urgent today. Welcome to the world of opinion-based development, ruled by HiPPOs (Highest Paid Person’s Opinion) and stakeholders. #productmanagement #prodmg

My daily pain of management deadlines in combination with fixed scope and budget via @workchronicles.bsky.social. Guess what is suffering? Isn't this the first lesson of project management? Why in 2025 we still have such a poor way of working? #productmanagement #prodmgmt

What are your current challenges in #productmanagement? Could you elaborate? Nothing fancy or hype, just real experiences please. #prodmgmt

Fresh look on the revised OKRs for 2025 - slight changes - again. Daily life of a product manager. 🙈 #productmanagement

Highlight of my day? A ‘Twalk’ - talking and walking with two colleagues while diving into important discussions. Definitely need to make this a habit at least 3 out of 5 workdays. How do you combine movement with productivity or fit exercise into your routine? Via @workchronicles.bsky.social

Politeness is not the same as kindness. Being polite is saying what makes people feel good today. Being kind is doing what helps people get better tomorrow. When the norm is politeness, people withhold disagreement and criticism. When the norm is kindness, people speak their minds respectfully.

The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced Communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction (i.e., the reality of experience) and the distinction between true and false (i.e., the standards of thought) no longer exist. - Hannah Arendt

Gantt charts: a relic of the past or still a vital tool? 👀 Just came across one from a project manager and got curious - how often do those of you in product management still use them or encounter them in your day-to-day work? #ProductManagement #ProdMgmt #ProjectManagement

Picard management tip: If it feels like time is moving at the wrong speed, cancel a few meetings.

Couldn’t be less intrusive - watched a preview on Amazon Prime, and boom, an update prompt pops up. 🙄 As a product person, I hit ‘yes’ (because, why not?), with options to postpone or wait 60 seconds. And now … here I am. 🤷‍♂️

Tesla Gigafactory, Berlin - right now! In cooperation with @ledbydonkeys.org

“A Hitler salute is a Hitler salute is a Hitler salute,” the prominent German weekly Die Zeit wrote in an editorial. Also, in related news, a clownish dick is a clownish dick. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/24/w...

Puh, this is a hot topic. Discussed that with @onkelkodi.bsky.social once and still wondering how much product is included in the organization. For me pricing is very sales driven depending on businesses. Further ideas or recommendations abt speakers? @loomista.bsky.social @arnekittler.bsky.social

The straight-arm salute has meant very different things in different places and during different periods of history. But in Germany, the interpretation of the gesture Elon Musk made during President Trump’s inauguration event this week was straightforward. nyti.ms/4h6c5iE

I thought I had outlived the cringe trend of old-style executives adopting (once upon a time) cool practices from tech startups and product management without understanding the basic principles behind said practices. Boy, was I wrong.

A balanced argument doesn’t weigh two sides equally. It weighs the strongest evidence more heavily. Critical thinking isn't about representing every view. It's about recognizing your biases, and giving serious consideration to facts that contradict your hopes and beliefs.

1. lack of any accountability in the media for the actual product - nobody really writes about how bad Facebook/Insta is and has been for years 2. lack of regulation 3. monopoly over social media allows them to do this, nowhere else to go

Had a great chat today about escaping the build trap! Simple idea: integrate UX designers into teams to align on user needs & outcomes. Used @johncutle.fish’s infographic to foster the discussion: amplitude.com/blog/journey... #ProductManagement

Exactly! I’ve been wondering for years why European leaders, policymakers, and others aren’t stepping up to support this. Europe lags significantly in creating scalable, sustainable software with global impact. Big chance to differentiate - NOW!

Who does relate to Mr. Nice Guy? I do - a lot! And I'm not that good in saying No in a very good way. Need to improve too and this is a good reminder. Enjoy the read. stevenpressfield.com/2025/01/no-m...

The latest discussions about Elon Musk recommending AfD in Germany and the latest post by @sethgodin.bsky.social make me think about leaving X aka Twitter. "The secret way you do the thing isn’t what keeps your clients coming back. It’s the part you do in public that matters." 1/2 #noafd #fcknzs

Uncomfortable Truth: family teaches us how to love people we don’t necessarily like. (Happy holidays!) - Mark Manson 😱

For all English speakers: ‘Der Postillon’ nailed it with this satirical picture, depicting Elon Musk as promoting the AfD in Germany. #FCKNZS

Only some days to go in 2024 - time to read, think and reflect. 🤔 Found this one: Beware the barrenness of a busy life. Socrates How was 2024 for you? Plans for 2025? Preparing for pen and paper work: yearcompass.com What exercises are you doing? #journaling #reflection #energy #flow
