It seems as though a willingness to embrace the absurdity that can crop up in a game has slowly disappeared over time (I can’t help that 1e had a cartoon of adventurers in Micky mouse ears about to infiltrate a rat god temple!)

His work in 1e Paranoia was absolutely crucial for understanding exactly how the game was supposed to be played. I honestly believe it would not have been as successful with a different artist.
