Something I think about a lot is how if you go back like, 30 years, the everyday objects of home and work were of a higher quality because technology had been stable for so long. Since then, things progress so fast that we live with tons of stuff that's not fully formed — soon obsolete.

Unfortunate side effect of Elon's political transformation is that people are now anti things like Mars exploration – because of some 'red team' 'blue team' dynamic. Carl Sagan was also passionate about the importance of Mars exploration – and those guys couldn't be more different philosophically
