Pretty generic haunted house jam at first. Fortunately, though, business picks up and this becomes a clever, nasty lampooning of THE AMITYVILLE HORROR by the end. And the scene where a little girl's birthday party is drenched by a sudden cloudburst of blood coming from the ceiling above is genius.

Popular female impersonator Julian Eltinge as the title character of THE COUNTESS CHARMING (1917). He plays a thief who, in the guise of a foreign countess, steals valuables from rich snobs and donates the money to charity. It was originally marketed as "Mrs. Raffles."

Favorite sports movie, go.

Robert Ripley's "Believe It Or Not" included Charles Schulz's first published drawing on February 22, 1937 (the hunting dog, credited to Schulz using his nickname Sparky). Schulz, then 14, would go on to a cartooning career of some renown.

No, they aren’t. Physical home video is doing great. What articles like this, and surveys they cite, often miss is the health of the boutique market and direct to consumer traffic. Not everyone buys discs from Amazon and Target etc, especially now. It’s all good! www.tomsguide.com/tvs/4k-blu-r...

There's a moment in SOLDIER OF ORANGE where a Nazi soldier decides to be a dick to some random kid only for that kid to be a resistance fighter that leads to the funniest death I've seen in a long while. God, we need this movie on a disc now.

The Cassandra Cat (1963)

I'm deeply saddened by the news of Lynne Marie Stewart's passing. A character actor with an impressive and exhaustive resume, I had the honor of doing a stage show with her a few years ago. As talented as she was kind, her beauty extended beyond Puppet Land and into the hearts of all she touched.
