Phone a friend help! I currently have 63 stitches as directed, but with these rows I end up with 58 instead of 57. Is the last stitch of the cast off not counted as part of the k3? That’s all I can come up with. 🧶 knitting

My resolve to master this pattern is starting to be shook. (Free pattern on Ravelry) I made it through the ear flaps, but I took a wrong turn at the back neck short rows and one of the ear flaps melted into the back…. The definition was lost. Part of me says can it and pick something easier. But💪
