This cactus sat on my maternal grandmother's back porch from the late 80's until her passing in 2007. Then my mom cared for it until her own passing in 2023. Now it is mine and today I said to them both, " Look! Our cactus is blooming right on schedule." That brought a tear and also a smile! ❤️ 🌱

My late brother was friends with the artist, Sascha Brastoff who passed in 1993. My brother received some of his ceramic art and also some big balls of these Tillandsia bergeri. The art has since been sold or donated but I still have the tillandsias which have been multiplying now for 32 years! 🌱

The Fuerte Avocado tree I planted last Spring had just ONE fruit on it. But what a perfect, giant DELICIOUS fruit it was! My tree is coved in blooms now. Hoping for LOTS more delicious avocados next year. 🌱🥑

Sometimes the most you can manage in the kitchen is a fancied-up frozen Cheese Pizza from Trader Joe's. Turned out super delicious though! (The bottle of wine on the side helped!)
