Two years after moving into this place, I have discovered that I am missing a box from the move. It had old blankets in it. One of the blankets was handwoven by my mother on a loom my father made. Both parents are long gone and this is hitting me pretty hard. :(

I don't even know what to do with this. Society as a whole relies on each generation producing new doctors, scientists, engineers, artists, thinkers. We're looking at a generation that will produce none of these. They'll have papers that say they are these things, but will be completely incompetent.
